Join our mailing list and receive news and specials from The Afternoon! | Watchcraft DF3 WatchThis watch is a one-of-a-kind artwork, one that marries a state-of-the-art quartz movement for precise timekeeping with the patina of an artifact dug up by a treasure hunter. Watchcraft Watches are the creation of Uruguay-born artist Eduardo Milieris, who was inspired by the work of Alexander Calder and began decorating watches at age 10. Milieris's signature work is the Slow Reading Clock, a piece comprised of 3 one-handed dials, each dial reading the hours, minutes and seconds respectively; this led him to create the Watchcraft line. Each Watchcraft Watch has been weathered and oxidized, using carefully researched techniques. Milieris deliberately refrains from sealing the silver, copper and brass so that they continue to age gracefully. The watch design is unisex, with a design that fully integrates bracelet and timepiece. Milieris hand paints each dial, and each watch is signed by Milieris and numbered. The bracelet can be adjusted by adding or removing links. Wide band (0.75" width); 3/4" x 1-3/8" clock face. Limited one year warranty against defects in manufacture. |
